- STRIKE TWO!! CHASING A BAD PITCH!!

While not yet on strike, but actively engaged in a lawsuit against the legislature over educational funding, education advocates press legislative committees to increase the education budget by an additional $66.4 million dollars in a proposal that's supposed to give Wyoming teachers an 8.5% raise. However, once appropriated those monies do not have to be spent on teacher salaries, and this is a "SWING AND A MISS" we have seen before on Wyoming!

 

- STRIKE THREE, THEY'RE OUT!!!

Many of the legislators who support this proposal from the Joint Education Committee (and have sent it to the Joint Appropriations Committee) are "lame ducks" that have lost their primaries and won't be returning to the legislature in 2025, furthermore many of the returning legislators on those committees are not likely to be reassigned to the same committees under new legislative leadership in the next session.
